Yes, the bass is exceptionally good especially with the add-on X-Fi SoundBlaster Surround 5.1 (USB), so I don’t think I ever need a sub-woofer to boost up the bass. For about HK$500, it immediately turned my notebook into a powerful media center, I can play all the un-compressed source like FLAC, APE now on my JVC woodcore speaker, and all my RMVB HD became so much better with great sound quality, it’s just absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
