Interestingly when I run the SUU from disk on a machine I get 5 update requirements, and yet OM reports only 4. Also my two test servers are shown as in critical condition, but I don't know why apart from possibly the age old errors in the machine log which I can't acknowledge or remove. Hardly impressive.

I'm glad you enjoy it just like me.

If Dell can update the catalog.xml with the latest firmware release, then it would be perfect, still, no complain this time at all.

Oh...just a personal advice, I tend to Exclude hard disk if there is no problem as I consider hard disk firmware update is quite risky.

It is a great tool!

I just install the OME on a old PE2850, and then perform a full scan for my Hong Kong office.

The OME then found that there is a new firmware for a 2950 Seagate SAS hard drives, Broadcom on broad LAN card, PERC 6/i controller , also an external SCSI-160 LTO-3 tape drive attached on that old PE2850.

The update perform automatically.

I noticed OME is much faster when gathering device information for inventory, used for 2 hours and I really like it so far. :)

Its an vast improvement over IT Assistant.

Ive had some trouble detecting M805 blades, but it seems to have been related to a misconfiguration of my ipmi
