“Exoto Finally Fired ! (Apr 19, 2012)

We regret to inform you that we no longer distribute Exoto. With it, Exoto is probably losing its final reseller in Germany.

The reasons are complex. Not only did Exoto consistently refuse to compensate us for defective models. Furthermore Exoto repeatedly gave us the assurance to replace faulty parts, but failed to do so each time. In addition, Exoto received payment in advance, lasting for months, by pretending the goods were ready for dispatch.

It looks like, that Exoto is no longer in a postion to settle payment with its manufacturers, we assume Exoto suffers huge liquidity problems. Ever since September 2011 Exoto confirmed all along the delivery of the Ferrari Dino 246 SP in the coming month, which is still owing today.

Particularly with regard to situations as described we are no longer willing to take the risk of making payments in advance thousands of Euros, but never obtaining the ordered goods, we have no other possibility as to separate from Exoto finally.”

Exoto used the 12th Tamiya kits for measurements for their 18th scale models; easy to verify when you look at oversized gearbox on their Lotus 49; Tamiya enlarged it fit the electric motor drive- so it's too big on the Exoto too. Other models by Tamiya in 12th scale;Lotus 72, Ferrari 312T ,312T4, Renault RE-20, Tyrrell P34 and 003, Porsche 934 and the T70 coupe- all modeled by Exoto.
