Chichester，這個位于英國南部鳥語花香的古羅馬小鎮，永遠充滿了我年輕時留學的美好記憶。

這麼多年來，我總覺得跟Chichester 一直保持著一份很特別的淵源和感情。它曾經改變了我的前半生，也讓我從此結識了那些超過1/4 世紀的好兄弟們。它還是經典車愛好者Goodwood Festival of Speed 的發源地所在。

大約10年前我開始瘋狂地收藏模型車，慢慢得知原來精密全開大比例的模型車世界裡，有一個響亮的名字，它就是世界知名的模型汽車製商Amalgam。 後來更驚訝地發現原來Amalgam 竟然同樣是來自我熟悉的 Chichester!

第一次真正見到Amalgam 的實物是幾年前在香港永捷模型公司的櫥窗前。記得那是台紅色的1960年敞篷法拉利California SWB，完美的外型加上精密的部件令我心情久久不能平復。之後中環太子大廈的Ralph Lauren 旗艦店內也陸續地展出很多Ralph Lauren 其經典汽車收藏的1/8 Amalgam 模型。

Amalgam以精湛的工藝和認真的考究工作見稱，他們的工匠完美地還原了很多經典賽車和著名的跑車，其中又以法拉利為主。曾經有人這麼形容過，在大比例的全開模型車世界裡，Amalgam和法拉利中間是等號。

以下是來自香港經典車工作室Blackbird 關於Amalgam的介紹:

來自英國的模型車製造公司 Amalgam，其出品一直是我們Blackbird 團隊的心水之選。 每一架模型車都由廠商用上超過 2,000 件零件用人手組裝而成，總人力資源投放更超過 3,000 小時。為了確保模型車能夠忠實呈現，廠商不但從原廠得到跑車官方的 CAD 數據，更參考過千張紀錄了跑車外觀及內裝的照片，從而獲得最準確的數據去製作模型。從外殼油漆、拋光和組裝零件，每個細節均經由人手處理，花上接近 400 小時的人力，打造鑑賞級的跑車模型。

2016年Amalgam 被美國邁阿密的Motorsport Network 收購，總部也搬遷去了Bristol。 主導的美國管理層作風也更為進取，這次看準了全球最多收藏家喜愛的主流比例1/18。 打頭炮推出那台曾經參加1962年24小時勒芒大賽的著名法拉利250 GTO 模型車! 雖然是封閉式樹脂工藝，但相比其它兩大全開品牌CMC/京商，其外型完美無瑕﹔對比同是封閉式樹脂工藝的BBR，其更加細緻的內飾和部件更凸顯出其頂端技術的成熟。

Amalgam緊接著今年內推出了一系列的法拉利經典名車，包括F40和1965年勒芒的冠軍車 250LM。

另外在其年頭公佈的產品計劃中，我們還看到了很多經典的保時捷911。

其實去年10月中我開始尋找贊助商，11月初已經和Amalgam聯絡上，但無奈當時5個贊助位置已經全部被其它贊助商訂滿了，所以要等上了一年，上個星期才真正落實了跟Amalgam的合作關係。

最後在此我希望更多的模型車收藏家可以透過我的博客加深對Amalgam這個品牌的了解以及體驗其令人驚嘆的工藝，也希望Amalgam可以不斷地完善其產品系列，帶給大家更多的驚喜。

It’s absolutely delightful today to have my old friend rejoining the circle after losing contact for over 20 something years…talking about breaking the ice…I truly appreciate the bonding that we built back then…it is Chichester again that made the magic!

This was the place where I took my A-Level studies back then, and it has become the home for the most world renowned motor racing event – Goodwood Festival of Speed!

Chichester, this beautiful small town in South-East of England once connected us all, still does the same magic even after almost 24 years…Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Also found this interesting short documentary about Chichester. See how many places you haven’t been to around Chichester, for me, I’ve never been to  Bognor, Bosham (ie, Harbour side) etc.

For those who studied in Chichester, do you still remember those places we used to hang out…the dorms…the library…the magnificent grass floor in front of the college with that signature cathedral in the background? If those still sound familiar to you, then you have to watch this video!

It flashes back many memories and reminds us exactly who we were back in the Chichester College days!!!

The original song “We Are Young” is by Janelle Monáe…tonight we are young…

當中的主題歌詞是這樣講的:

今天終於在YouKu上找到了這套那些年的青春偶像劇 “五個寂寞的心”，後來還發現電影中的音樂是由趙增熹負責。

5個主角都是當年倪震那本年輕人都喜愛看的YES-城市驚喜中的主角，如果沒記錯譚衛蘭 (Kitty) 應該是第5期城市驚喜，她拍完這套戲後就去了英國讀書，也碰巧成了我的同學之一。

話是話，今日睇番都覺得Chichester嘅Kitty當年真係好鬼索!

昨晚在英國Chichester Goodwood的Bonhams汽車拍賣會上，一台1954的法拉利 375 Plus創出了1.4億港幣的成交價，竟然比2010年那台黑色紅嘴的250 Testa Rossa還要貴，! 成為Classic Car拍賣成交史上第3名，僅次于去年Fangio的那台奔馳W196和法拉利1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4*S N.A.R.T。

原來我曾經讀書的英國小鎮Chichester自1993年起就開始舉辦Goodwood Festival of Speed，週邊的環境是如此優美，當年竟然全錯過了。

最後也是剛看到的，有人估計以下這台McQueen的GULF 917K很可能在今年8月的拍賣會上刷新紀錄成為另一台的最貴，更有可能打破去年那台W196，所以說”沒有最貴，只有更貴”，就讓我們拭目以待吧!

I watched a TVB Pearl documentary two days ago, it mentioned a startup called 美圖, the 3rd largest Internet company in China behind Alibaba and Tencent (ie, QQ)

Then I downloaded their flagship software MeiTuXiuXiu today…of course it’s free and you can get it from http://xiuxiu.meitu.com and installed on your iPhone and Android.

The attached is the modified photo using MeiTuXiuXiu, it only took me 5 mins to do all the effects, it’s quite amazing! This is bad for all the Photoshop designer though.
