今天在家附近給我碰上了這台難得一見的993 Carrera RS，但是突然發現其實993的RS有些尾重頭輕的感覺，所以還是覺得比例上應該是964的大尾翼版本加上那突起的前燈比較對稱。

關於近兩年Equallogic Firmware的命名方式

eqlf 說真的，我還在用v5.2.2，v6頂多可以叫做5.4，v7那也就是5.7。

EQL最近一兩年這樣的命名方式簡直就是自欺欺人，用來嚇唬人新人還可以，其實背后根本還是一頭紙老虎來的。所以最近一年v6和v7的更新在EQL社區里都沒有像之前5.1引來那么大的回響了，而那些所謂的新功能其實也都比較雞肋。

咨同樣道理ESX4.1>ESX5.5 (其實應該叫ESX4.8)沒之前那么大的回響也是預料之中。

另外據一位資深中國Dell L2工程師多年前的忠告，如果沒事就請別搬石頭砸自己的腳，請不要動不動就去升級各類硬件的Firmware和Driver，一定要以穩定至上。

最後其實我一直都有以下疑問，多年來都沒有得到很好的答案:

個別Member出錯的機會應該會隨着你增加EQL Members進Group而增加的，那豈不很危險﹖想想看，一個16個Members的Group個別硬件出錯機會一定比一個4個Members的Group大。

如果是我的話，就會把16個Members的Group分成4組4個Members的Group，主要還是不放心。

究竟怎樣分配才是最佳的平衡點呢﹖

20幾年前曾經在旺角環球模型櫥窗見過令人驚嘆的黑色Koenig TR完成品。

當時曾經砌過這台1比16 Testarossa，不過最後來移民前送了給朋友。

經朋友介紹今天穿了這副新的組合，聽說Wilson Champions Choice Hybrid也是Federer近期的選擇。

這次直穿55磅、橫穿53磅，感覺還真不錯! 尤其底線抽擊很得心應手，線床有彈力也比較軟，所以抽起來像在使用鞭子。但是因為16G比較粗的關係，所以手感沒之前17G的那些天然腸線舒服。

另外就是如同朋友所說，Wilson的這副混線因為材料特別，所以也特別耐用，打完兩個鐘頭後，的確發現線床沒什麼損耗，希望這次可以用上3個月。

Combining the ultimate playability of a high quality natural gut with the durability, spin and control of a textured polyester gives the player the best of both worlds. For durability and control, use the Luxilon ALU Power Rough in the mains. For a softer feel and playability, use the Wilson Natural Gut in the mains.

The string finally broken today, amazingly it lasted for 8 months!!!

Update Sep 7, 2014:

The pro shop I went told me they are out of Wilson Champions, so I selected a closest combination Babolat VS Touch 16 (Main, 53lbs) and Luxilon ALU Power Rough 16L (50 lbs). Also just noticed 16L is a bit thinner than 16 (ie, 1.25mm vs 1.32mm), let’s see how long it will last this time.

Update Apr 24, 2015:

The string broke almost another 8 months, but the last 2 feels awful as I can tell the string bed was dead. So it’s better to change it every 6 months. Nonetheless, I can conclude that I’ve finally found a natural gut + poly combination that provides good hitting experience and most importantly economically sound.

Update May 3, 2015:

Almost got a Yonex VCORE Si 98 G, but give up at the end due to the spec. is almost identical to my Head Extreme Pro but stiffness is even higher (ie, too stiff). So I ended up restrung with the same combination, Babolat VS Touch 16 (Main, 57lbs) and Luxilon ALU Power Rough 16L (53 lbs). This time, it should be able to last till December at least.

Update July 12, 2015:

Strangely, the previous combination only lasted for just a little bit longer than 2 months, probably due to higher tension than usual. So this time, I went for Babolat VS Touch 16 (Main, 55lbs) and Luxilon 4G Rough 16L (53 lbs) to see if the new string (4G Rough) will produce a better touch and feel.
